Oceanic View

Duck beach, in the outer banks of North Carolina is a place of calamity and relaxation. It is a stretch of 7 miles of the cleanest and most family
oriented beach possibly on the east coast. The city of Duck has a couple small venue shopping areas that make it perfect for small families and groups
of friends to gather in a quiet peaceful environment. During the summers of middle school my family would spend days on these quiet private beaches
(further down is the public beach area) and then we would get dinner in these small family owned restaurants.

  1. The imagery is great in this piece. I think you could put more emphasis as to why this place should be preserved rather than just describing it. Good job with it though.

  2. You definitely presented the place well to the audience; however, I was unable to find why Duck Beach should be preserved.

  3. You did a very nice job of bringing us to the place, however the formatting of this blog post could use some tweaking

  4. It was a very nice description of the beach. I liked it. But if you show with a story rather than telling what the beach looked like, it would be very interesting.

  5. I pictured this place very well from your descriptions. I think you can do a better job in writing how you can preserve this place.

  6. You described the beach very well however you should also add why this place is of cultural significance.

  7. You gave great imagery, but both formatting and meaning should be taken into consideration.

  8. You did well describing your memories of Duck Beach but maybe you could give more reasons on why it is important to the surrounding community.

  9. I thought you gave a great image of what you were talking about, but what was missing was adding the significance to the larger community

  11. I think you did a great job describing it and making people able to visualize it. I think you could add why it needs to be preserved though.

  12. I liked your description of the beach but I think you could have given it more personal meaning; what makes the place special and unique to u?

  13. I think you described Duck very well, but maybe a little more imagery of the beach (sounds, smells, etc) would have really brought it to life.

  14. The imagery was perfect. I visualized what was being described. I think you could have done a better job describing why it should be preserved.

  15. I like it but it looks like you we're hitting the enter key to go to the next line in the middle of the sentence. A few of the words get cut off and continue on to the next line.

  16. Sounds like a very nice place to be. I think that you did describe why it should be preserved without actually saying "it should be preserved" very well by describing its use and importance to you and those who go there.
